How to get admission to the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Course?
For B. Tech admission in the branch of Mechanical Engineering, students will have to appear for any national or state-based entrance exam. They can appear for national level entrance test like Joint Entrance Test (JEE), state-level entrance test includes COMET-K, WBJEE, MAHA CET, UPSEEE, BCECE or college- level entrance test – VITEEE, IPU CET, SRM JEEE. However, most of the colleges accept the marks secured in JEE. Also, there are some colleges that take direct admission based on the student’s performance in class 12th.
Eligibility for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
The eligibility requirements for B.Tech admission in Mechanical Engineering is different for each college. However, some common criteria are given below –
- Students must have passed in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They must have also secured the minimum required marks in the qualifying examination.
- Also, the students are required to secure the minimum cut off, set by the respective college of their choice in the entrance exam of the engineering.
